Born on September 9, 1974, in Himachal Pradesh’s Palampur, Captain Batra obtained his main schooling from his mom after which went to DAV public faculty. Batra was recognized for his braveness and valour. In the course of the struggle, the younger officer had a code identify “Sher Shah”. For his bravery, Captain Batra was awarded Param Vir Chakra posthumously.
