Asian Granito will increase export business

Asian Granito India Limited (AGIL), one of India’s leading tiles brands, is eyeing rapid growth from the export business in the current financial year. Anti-China sentiments, lower gas prices, and strong export orders from the US, Europe, UK, and the Middle East are boosting export business in the current financial year and are expected to gain momentum in the coming months.

The company is currently expanding its business network to more than 100 to 120 countries. Asian Granito is the largest exporter of organized companies in India. The company’s exports in the first half of the FY21 accounted for 17.6 percent of total revenue, compared to 13.8 percent in the first half of FY20. For the six months ended September 2021, the company recorded exports of Rs 83.2 crore. India ranks second in global ceramic tiles production, producing 12.90% of the world.

The recent reduction in gas prices in domestic markets has made Indian tiles products more competitive in world markets. With the recent growth, India’s share in global trade is likely to improve significantly. Kamlesh Patel, President and Managing Director of Asian Granito India, said that despite the challenges of Covid, demand from international markets is a good thing and the Indian ceramic industry will get more incentive. There has been an increase in exports during the last three months.
