18 people have died in a painful road accident in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. A truck rammed into a double-decker private bus going to Bihar carrying passengers from Ludhiana, Punjab in Ramsnehighat Kotwali area of Barabanki district.
The accident happened late Tuesday night on Ayodhya Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway in Barabanki. In this accident, 18 people died and more than 25 people were injured. A rescue operation is going on to retrieve the bodies trapped under the bus. 19 people have been admitted to the near hospital.

Due to heavy rains at the time of the accident, there was a problem with the rescue work. Police reached the spot and took all the injured to the hospital and sent the dead bodies for post-mortem.
