Calla Johnson aka “Traveling Mermaid”, Dies Unexpectedly at 34

Famous TikToker Calla Johnson, best known for her flatbed truck videos, sadly died on March 15, 2024, at the age of 34 in Coldspring, Texas. Her sister confirmed the news of her departure in a Facebook post.

Right now, even the family is not aware of the cause of her death. Informing the same in the Facebook post, her sister wrote:

“We know nothing at the moment. Please be patient as we have to be. Please stop asking. It is so heartbreaking what happened and if I had answers I would share. Thank you all for understanding. Rest in sweet Peace my beautiful Calla Johnson.”

Her family has set up a GoFundMe page to cover her funeral expenses. According to Sportskeeda, the fundraiser has raised around $5,000, with a target goal of $15,000.

The GoFundMe page states:

“Hello everyone. My name is Victoria Johnson. We tragically lost our beautiful angel Calla Johnson unexpectedly on March 15th. If you could be so kind as to donate to help us with funeral costs and give her the celebration of life she deserves we would greatly appreciate it.”

Calla Johnson garnered a massive fanbase by making humorous videos showing her on duty in her blue-collar trucker job while picking up a load of plywood or steel. She often used to share scenic views from her driver’s seat, traveling from coast to coast while delivering cargo.

Last year, she celebrated hitting 100,000 miles on her tractor, stating:

“So, I just got done driving for the day, but I hit a huge accomplishment today, let me show you,” Johnson says as she shifts the camera to her Freightliner’s dashboard. I hit 100,000 miles.”
