Congress Candidate List 2022 UP: UP Congress has released the first list of 125 candidates for the UP Assembly Elections 2022. While announcing the list, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who is the in-charge of UP Congress said that “40% of our candidates will be women”.

Priyanka added that “Among 50 women candidates, Asha worker Poonam Pandey has been made a candidate from Saharanpur. Poonam Pandey had agitated to increase the honorarium. Of the 125 candidates, 40% are women. Along with this, 40% of the total candidates are youths.

She further added – “The women who are contesting elections for the first time are struggling and courageous women. Congress party will give full cooperation to them”.

As many congress leaders have left the party, on this question, she said – “That Aya Ram Gaya Ram happens in every election, in every party. I don’t think this is something that any party should panic about. If our companions leave, we feel that they are withdrawing from our struggle. From our list, we want to convey that the real purpose of politics is service. This has changed to a large extent, but we want to bring this motive back.”
