Lately, Twitch has renewed its community guidelines, due to which many famous streamers have been banned from using the platform. The news of Dario Moccia’s ban first emerged in a Telegram group and later spread on other social media platforms.

Dario Moccia, Italian Streamer Banned from Twitch

According to news reports, the reason may be associated with his latest reaction video by Aledellagiusta. It has been claimed that the content of the video’s sexually explicit comments violated the streaming platform’s guidelines.

In a series of Instagram stories, he stated,

‘Well, yes guys, I was banned for sexual reasons,’

confirming that he had been banned on the grounds of something sexually explicit in his reaction videos.

Dario further said,

“Non c’è scritto il motivo preciso preciso, ma credo che sia per la reaction al video di AleDellaGiusta. Mi cospargo il capo di cenenre, ma non credevo fosse bannabile, anche perché l’hanno visto praticamente tutti su Twitch Italia… però vabbé, me l’accollo.”

English Translation-

“The precise reason isn’t written there, but I think it’s because of the reaction to AleDellaGiusta’s video. I cover my head with ashes, but I didn’t think it was bannable, also because practically everyone on Twitch Italia saw it… but whatever, I’ll take it.”

The suspended Twitch streamer added,

“Sette Giorni, che sto provando a portare a 3 con un ricorso, dato che non l’ho fatto con l’intenzione di violare il TOS e non credevo ci fosse quello che poi abbiamo visto […] Vi aggiornerò passo passo se mi accetteranno il ricorso.”

English translation-

“ Seven Days, which I’m trying to bring to 3 with an appeal, since I didn’t do it with the intention of violating the TOS and I didn’t believe there was what we then saw […] I’ll update you step by step if they accept me the appeal. ”

This is not the first time Twitch has made headlines over a violation of their guidelines. Many female streamers have been banned from the platform for showcasing nudity and vulgar content during live streams.

Banning streamers from Twitch is not the first time and surely won’t be the last. Twitch is trying to give a new vibe and overall reputation to its brand by renovating community guidelines.
