As stated above, a dedicated public servant David Mack sadly passed away in September 2023. He used to preach in Charleston and Dorchester Counties for the past 25 years in South Carolina. He was 69 years old at the time of his death. Additionally, he represented his 109 district from 1996 to 2020. 

Henry McMaster, Governor also paid tribute to him stating he was a remarkable man and a true, genuine human being. He further stated that it was his kind and compassionate nature towards everyone that made him so loving in the community. 

How Did David Mack Die? Cause of Death

The exact cause of his death was not revealed to the public but he was seeking cancer treatment during his last stage of life.  His family is currently devastated and wants the public to respect their privacy.

David Mack III, originally known as David Mack. He was respected and a dedicated person in the South Carolina community. He was known for his work in social justice He used to live in North Carolina along with serving as a lawmaker in South Carolina’s House District 109 from 1997 to 2021.He was a strong advocate of equality, civil rights and proper healthcare for African Americans.
