Then Deepika had another tattoo. Initials of her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s name at the back of her neck. Destiny had other plans for them and they parted way. Now that she is happily married to Ranveer Singh, Deepika got it removed a few years back when she moved on in life.

During her appearance at Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee with Karan, in 2010, Deepika stated she has no plans of removing it. She quoted-  “It’s something that I felt was correct, and even today, I don’t regret it. I have never thought about taking it off.

I know the media is constantly saying ‘she has taken it off, ‘she has lasered it, ‘she has changed it and all kinds of things. It’s very much there and I have no plans of taking it off.”

Even after breaking up the duo still has a friendly and cordial relationship and even went to work together on 2 projects. On being asked about her relationship with Ranbir she says- “Of course I do. I don’t think that every feeling has to be broken down as I don’t believe that emotions are unidimensional anyway. Feelings and emotions are very layered.

He is someone I have always loved and someone I will always be extremely possessive about and very protective about. When I read about him, when I see his work, good bad whatever it is, I have my own monologue that is going on in my head and which I do share with him. I might even pick up the phone and talk to him immediately. There was a phase he was going through where I felt that his behavior had changed a bit (I didn’t know it was intentional or had he become that person or it was misinterpreted).”
