Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, which is called Eid-e-Milad un-Nabi, or Milad un-Nabi is observed every year as the Birthday of the founder of the second biggest religion ISLAM, Prophet Muhammad. According to the Islamic Lunar Calendar, on the 12th day of the 3rd month of Islamic calendar, Rabi Ul-Awal is observed as the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.

Birth of Prophet Muhammad

The full name of Prophet Muhammad was Mohammad Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abdul Matalib and he was born in 570 in the town of Mecca. As per Islam experts, he was born on the 12th day of the third month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar, Rabi Ul-Awal.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi History

It is believed that the celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi was started by the Fatimids. The birthday date of Prophet Muhammad is also believed as the death anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. As per believes, the day was an official festival in Egypt in the 11th Century, Later it became famous all around the world.
