A major accident took place in the Bharuch district of Gujarat in the early hours of Tuesday. Chemical company UPL-5 plant in Jhagadia in the district caught fire with an explosion. At least 24 people were injured in the blasts and fire. It is being told that the incident took place at two in the morning.

Several fire engines have reached the scene trying to control the fire. The accident took place at the company’s CM plant. The explosion was so overwhelming that its sound was heard for 15 kilometers. At the same time, due to the explosion, people living in the surrounding village felt like an earthquake. Because of this some people came out of their homes.

24 employees were injured in the fire that broke out in the UPL company. He has been admitted to hospitals in Bharuch and Vadodara. The cause of the incident has not been known yet. Firemen are trying to overcome the fire. Due to the fire, a plume of smoke is visible around.

According to some reports, the explosion in the UPL company led to the glass shattering on the windows of the houses in the surrounding villages of Dadhera, Phulwadi and Karlsadi. A large fire brigade team is present on the spot after the blast. The team is trying to overcome the fire. Apart from this, top officials of Health and District Administration have also reached the spot.

In this company of Patel group, 10 people were killed due to the explosion. The bodies of six people were found at the scene while four died during treatment.
