Ahoi Ashtami is a very auspicious festival in the Hindu community. It is observed exactly 8 days before Diwali and 4 days after Karwa Chauth. Also, goes by the name Ahoi Aathe or Ahoi Ashtami. This year in 2022, it will be observed on October 17 Monday. On this day, mothers keep fast for the well-being of their kids and are mostly broken during the twilight after the first sight of stars in the sky. Additionally, the mother worship Goddess Ahoi, a form of Goddess Parvati, for the better and long-lasting lives of their kids.

While doing the pooja, special food is prepared to offer the deity such as puri, pua and halwa. Ahoi Ashtami 2022 Date

Ahoi Aastami is celebrated on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the Kartik month of the Purnimant calendar. It is mostly celebrated in north India. In other states such as Gujarat, Maharashtra and other southern states, Ahoi Ashtami is observed in the Ashwin month, as per the Amanta calendar. So, the day and date of Ahoi Ashtami remain the same in the whole country. Ahoi Ashtami 2022 or Ahoi Aathe Vrat will be celebrated on October 17, Monday. During the fasting, all the mothers across India wake up early to start their fasting for the well-being of their children. All puja preparation is done before sunset.
