17th November is observed as International Students’ Day globally, every year. The day marks the anniversary of the horrific attack in 1939, during WW2 when Nazis stormed Czech universities in Prague, and killed hundreds of students and sent thousands to concentration camps. The day is observed in the remembrance of those students. Let us tell you, 345,000 Czechs lost their lives in World War II.
