The Jallianwala Bagh massacre was such an incident in the history of India, remembering that even the stone-hearted is horrified. This massacre was condemned all over the world. That day, April 13, 1919, is a day not to be forgotten for any Indian. On this day, a detachment of the British Army had massacred 379 unarmed Indian protesters by firing indiscriminately.

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre is considered to be one of the biggest shooting incidents in history, which testifies to the brutality of British rule. It is said that about 103 years ago in on April 13, 1919, about 1650 atrocious rounds were fired, in which 379 people died. In such a situation, some people jumped into the only well present in the field to save their lives, but the well also got filled with corpses. According to unofficial figures, more than 1000 people were martyred and more than 2000 were injured in this cruel Massacre.

On April 13, a large number of people had gathered at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar. Curfew was imposed in the city on this day, but it was also the festival of Baisakhi. Due to this a large number of people came to Harimandir Sahib in Amritsar. Jallianwala Bagh was close to the Golden Temple. That’s why many had gone to visit this garden. And thus on April 13, about 20,000 people were present in this garden.
