Jean Carlos Aponte Murdered 2-Yr Old Son and Wife By Slitting Their Throats

A heart in wrenching crime from Miami has recently invaded the media headlines. The shocking crime involved a man killing his two- year-old boy along with his wife. 

The man, a father-of-two, allegedly committed suicide. Moreover, he also admitted in front of police that he was involved in an extramarital affair with another woman, CBS News reported.

According to the authorities, the man who was accused of murder was identified as ‘Jean Carlos Aponte.’ In the wake of murdering the wife and baby, he was arrested and taken into police custody. 

The charges against the 40-year-old include ‘two counts of first-degree murder.’ As per allegations police allegations, he slit the throats of his son and wife, before they passed away. 

The victim, the 40-year-old’s two-year-old son, was identified as Ethan Aponte and his 38-year-old wife was identified as Sara Ashley Gama.

Jean Carlos Aponte owned a home in Fort Laurderdale’s Plantation worth $850,000. Both Sara Ashley Gama and her son, Ethan, were discovered dead inside their metropolitan South Florida family house.

According to TimesNow, on March 26, 2024, authorities got to know about the incident. The mother had two babies. While one was discovered dead, another four-month-old baby was discovered alive. He was swinging a chair. 

Concerned relatives took the baby, who was alive, after the incident. 

Who Is Jean Carlos Aponte?

The 40-year-old man, Jean Carlos Aponte and his wife Gada had issues related to their marriage. The brawl escalated when the husband visited Colombia. 

As per the initial investigations, the duo were involved in a feud over texts. On the morning of the incident, they discussed their martial issues. 

As per confirmation given by autopsy reports, Ethan, whose body was found in the pool, had four stab wounds. He died from injuries from sharp objects and from drowning, reported USA Today.
