Kabul Airport Blast Updates: A suicide bomber attacked the Kabul airport killed 90 including 12 US troops and has left 150 wounded so far. A video shared by TOLO News shows dozens of bodies lying around close to Kabul airport after the blast, as people are trying to rescue survivors.

US embassy in Kabul said that are reports of gunfire at the Hamid Karzai International Airport and urged Americans to avoid travelling to the airport at this time. The US embassy added that US citizens who are at the Abbey Gate, East Gate, or North Gate now should leave immediately.

Terrorist organizations the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing at Kabul airport. The terrorist organization in Afghanistan known as Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) is the prime suspect of the blast.

According to American media, US President Joe Biden is monitoring the situation at Kabul airport from the White House. The blast occurred hours after France and the Netherlands announced their decision to wrap up the evacuation operations amid security concerns. The United States, however, said it will continue to evacuate as many people as it can until the deadline.

Associated Press reported that the attack outside the Kabul airport is definitely believed to have been carried out by the Islamic State.

He further added that the attack near Kabul’s airport will not stop the United States’ mission to evacuate American citizens and Afghan civilians from Afghanistan. He also admitted that he bears the responsibility fundamentally for all that’s happened of late.

The former defence secretary and CIA director Leon Panetta told CNN that they will probably have to go back into Afghanistan to get ISIS.

Canada:  Canada evacuated around 3,700 Canadian and Afghan citizens.

Turkey: Turkey has evacuated at least 1,400 people from Afghanistan, including around 1,000 Turkish citizens,

Poland: Poland has evacuated about 900 people from Afghanistan, including about 300 women and 300 children, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Thursday.
