Annually July 26 is marked as Kargil Vijay Diwas in India to commemorate an emphatic victory over Pakistan in 1999 and to pay tribute to the soldiers who martyred for the country in that war. This year marks the 23rd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. And on this occasion, the Indian Army flagged off the Kargil Vijay Diwas motorbike campaign from Delhi on Monday.

A special program is being scheduled for the flag hoisting ceremony at the war memorial. The families of the martyrs will be welcomed at the memorial service. The team of Shershaah, a biographical film on Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra, will also be present in the program. The program will feature choreographed dance performances and patriotic songs.
