Kerala: PM Modi targets Vijayan government over Sabarimala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday fiercely targeted the ruling Pinarayi Vijayan government on the famous Sabarimala temple issue. He strongly criticized the state government for beating the innocent devotees of Lord Ayyappa with sticks.

Modi is on his second trip to Kerala to campaign for BJP candidates. When he reached Kony, he was strongly welcomed by a large crowd. He chanted the name of ‘Swami Sharanam Ayyappa’ before the start of his speech, after which people cheered fiercely. Modi said,

“I am really happy in the land blessed by Lord Ayyappa, because the devotees who reach here come here after following a rigorous fast (penance) of 41 days, which makes this place blessed. We learned from Ayyappa how to do well for everyone. “

Communism has no role in democracy – Modi

Targeting the Left government, Prime Minister Modi said that he first tried to spoil the image of Kerala. The Left government tried to show the culture of Kerala backward. Modi, citing Ambedkar’s speeches, said that communism has no role in democracy. He said that communism is a spate of fire in the forest which burns itself. But the BJP will work to save its culture.

Modi said that devotees of Swami Ayyappa are not criminals. He said that the lie of the Left will no longer work. The ideology that has been rejected all over the world will not be allowed to ruin our culture.

The Prime Minister said that our vision is inclusive and our work is comprehensive. We will carry forward the progress of Kerala and protect the Sabarimala culture.

He concluded his speech by appealing to the BJP to vote for him. From Koni, he reached Kanyakumari and from there will visit Thiruvananthapuram to address his third election rally in Kerala.
