Khabib Nurmagomedov is a former Russian professional mixed martial artist, who was born on 20 September 1988 in Sidi in the Tsumadinsky District of the Dagestan ASSR. The country is an autonomous republic within the Russian SFSR and the Soviet Union.

Wife and Children

In June 2013, Khabib married Patimat, the couple is blessed with three children a daughter born on 1st June 2015, a son born on 30th December 2017, and a 2nd son born on 22nd December 2019. His son was named after his great-grandfather – Magomed.

Family

Khabib Nurmagomedov also has two siblings- an older brother Magomed along with a younger sister Amina. His father used to be a well-known wrestler. Khabib started training for wrestling merely at the age of 6 influenced by his father. You will find many videos of him wrestling with a bear at the age of 8. By the time he turned 10, his father started teaching him martial arts such as sambo.

UFC fighter Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Umar Nurmagomedov, and Bellator fighter Usman Nurmagomedov are his cousins. His father and long-time trainer Abdulmanap were placed in a medically induced coma following heart surgery. He died in Moscow on 3rd July 2020.
