Four people were killed and 40 people are still missing due to a cloud burst in the Gulbarga area of Kishtwar district. About 100 houses have been damaged. Kishtwar Deputy Commissioner says that the relief work has been expedited. Along with providing help to the affected people, the search is on for the missing people.

Cloud burst in Kishtwar, relief work started

Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh has spoken to the DM of Kishtwar and assured all possible help. He said that if the help of the Air Force is needed, it will also be provided. Along with this, the SDRF team is also helping the army. Home Minister Amit Shah said that he has spoken to the LG and DGP of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the cloudburst in Kishtwar. SDRF, Army and local administration are carrying out rescue operations. NDRF is also reaching there. Our priority is to save as many lives as possible.

What did the lieutenant governor say

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said he spoke to senior officials and the Kishtwar district administration (where the cloudburst killed at least four people). Army and SDRF teams are working on a war footing to rescue the people and trace the missing. I am constantly monitoring the situation.
