At the same time, the price of a non-subsidized domestic LPG cylinder remains at Rs 884.50. Looking at the rising crude oil prices, it seemed that the price of LPG cylinders could cross Rs 900.

The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has increased to Rs 884.50 in Delhi. In the last 15 days, the non-subsidized LPG cylinder has become costlier by Rs 50. Earlier, on August 18, petroleum companies had increased the prices of gas cylinders by Rs 25. In July also, the prices of cylinders were increased. At the same time, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has increased by Rs 75.

Let us inform you that from January 1 to September 1, the price of LPG has increased by Rs 190. On the other hand, if we talk about a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder, then its price in Delhi is Rs 1693. The price has gone up to Rs 1772 in Kolkata, Rs 1,649 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,831 per cylinder in Chennai.

The government has abolished the subsidy on LPG by increasing the prices every month. Due to the increase in the price every month, the subsidy ended by May 2020. The price of LPG has more than doubled in the last seven years. The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder as of 1 March 2014 was Rs 410.5.
