Good news for Noida pet lovers, the authority recently announced the city will have its first dog park. It will be open to the public from June 1. The park will be a vital milestone for all the pet owners in the country. The decision has been taken to resolve the dog menace in the area, as per the official statement.

The desired project was delayed a lot of times due to some technical issues but now it is all set to roll out for the public. Earlier the project was supposed to complete by the end of 2022 but the Sector-137 dog park couldn’t meet its deadline due to some electrical issues. Later, the Noida Authority came up with a new deadline i.e. January 2023 even though that was missed. The main aim of the park is to provide a free space for pets while tackling the scarcity of such spaces anywhere in the city.

“We have successfully completed this project with all departments, including electrical, engineering, and horticulture, working diligently. Starting from June 1, pet owners can avail themselves of this specially designated space for their beloved pets,” said Ritu Maheshwari, the chief executive officer of the Noida authority.

“Later as the curb was relaxed the authority had started the electrical work. Now as the electrical work has been completed we have decided to open this park,” further added by Maheshwari. The park has been located adjacent to Aqua Line Sector 137 Metro station and is spread over a 2-acre land. It has all kinds of facilities you need to entertain your dog including walking paths, swings, green spaces, a pool, a canteen and cafes. Noida Authority’s horticulture department has developed the overall look of the park.
