Pro Kabaddi Auction 2022: Know all about it PKL

Buckle Up! The  Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2022 is finally here ready for its auction in its December 2022. The auction will be starting on August 5, Friday to August 6, Saturday in Mumbai. As for its 9th Pro Kabaddi League, more than 500 players will get auctioned. All 12 teams are set to spend almost Rs 44 crores to enhance their team.

Although main highlights of the game like Pradeep Narwal and Pawan Sehrawat will be available for auction song with other 19 elite players who are retained by the franchises. As per sources, the auction will be divided into 4 sub-categories such as raiders, defenders and all-rounders. Additionally this season, 24 players will be included from the 2 teams of the Khelo India University tournament 2021 that was played in Bangalore.

This time 111 players will be retained across 3 different categories with 41 Franchisees-nominated New Young Players, 38 New Young Players (NYP),19 Elite Retained Players (ERP) and 13 in the Retained Young Players category as this year teams are aiming to strengthen their squad.

According to the retaining conditions, a franchise can retain up to 6 players under the ERP (Elite Retained Player) category and up to 4 New Young Players (NYPs) in each Pro Kabaddi League season. 

Why do we have to keep up with the PKL auction in 2022?

Charu Sharma the renowned sports presenter and commentator will be the auctioneer in the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League auction 2022. He has been in the public eye since the Indian Premier League Auction 2022.

When it comes to auctioning each team would be assigned Rs 4.4 crores to buy players. Although the amount will be reduced based on the retention made by the team.
