Bengaluru, April 11 (IANS) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the party’s unit in Karnataka have lauded the success of Class 12 Board exam topper Vedant Navi, attributing it to the effective social and economic changes brought about by their schemes. The Congress launched a social media campaign to highlight Vedant’s story.

In a social media post, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the significance of their ‘Mahalakshmi’ scheme, stating, “Imagine, when women of poor families across the country will get Rs 1 lakh every year through the ‘Mahalakshmi Yojana’, how many Vedantas will change the future of the family with their talent?”

The Congress in Karnataka echoed Rahul’s sentiments, pointing out that their government’s schemes were making a difference in people’s lives. They claimed that Vedant’s success in the Arts stream was a testament to the success of their Gruha Lakshmi scheme, which supports more than 1 crore women in the state with Rs 2,000 every month.

Vedant Navi, who secured first rank in the Arts stream and is the overall second-topper in Karnataka, shared his story of overcoming financial hardships with the help of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme.
