Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait on Wednesday said that the government should not treat the farmer movement in the same manner as it did during the protests in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh last year.

Rakesh Tikait said that the protesters will return home only when the new agricultural laws are withdrawn. He said that the agitating farmers would follow all the rules of Covid-19 and the movement would continue till 2023 if needed. Tikait said that the new agriculture laws of the Center will only harm the farmers.
