Announcing this, She said that in pursuing the ideals of Amma (Jayalalithaa), it is hoped that all the true Jayalalithaa’s supporters will work to form the government. I never wished for power, office, authority or money. I will always be grateful to the followers of Amma (Jayalalithaa) and the people of Tamil Nadu. I have decided to leave politics. I will always pray to God that Amma’s golden rule should come.

Sasikala returned to Chennai after four years in jail

On February 8, Sasikala returned to Chennai after serving four years in jail amidst heavy support. She was in Bengaluru jail. Sasikala, who was sentenced to four years imprisonment in February 2017 in connection with a property worth more than Rs 66 crore from a known source of income, was released on 27 January.

After a long silence, Sasikala and AMMK Secretary TTV Dinakaran met media persons and supporters in Chennai. Amma Makkal Munnetra Kadhagam (AMMK) was founded by Sasikala’s nephew Dinakaran after she was expelled from the AIADMK.

Sasikala said, “When I was infected with Corona, the people of Tamil Nadu and the AIADMK cadre prayed for me and so I recovered. I thank you all. “
