Sasikala returned to Chennai after four years in jail

On February 8, Sasikala returned to Chennai after serving four years in jail amidst heavy support. She was in Bengaluru jail. Sasikala, who was sentenced to four years imprisonment in February 2017 in connection with a property worth more than Rs 66 crore from a known source of income, was released on 27 January.

On February 24, Sasikala said, “Jayalalithaa’s loyal cadre should stand together and work to win the upcoming assembly elections. I stand with you all.”

“As our Amma (Jayalalithaa) wanted, our government (AIADMK) should remain even after 100 years. For this, we have to fight elections together (AIADMK and AMMK). I wish this I will meet the cadre and the people soon. ”.
