Partnering with Alexander, Russ Giguere, Ted Bluechel Jr., Brian Cole, and Bob Page, Terry Kirkman formed the folk-rock outfit the Association. The outfit was soon joined by Jim Yester who stepped in to take his place.

The group released their first album titled ‘And Then… Along Comes the Association,’ and featured hits like “Along Comes Mary” and “Cherish.”

Many hits continued to be created and the group released an incredible seven studio albums throughout the course of their career including Renaissance (1966), Insight Out (1967), Birthday (1968), and Stop Your Motor (1971).

The group also performed at the famed iconic Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 and was the first group to play that weekend.
