The 16th season of the Indian Premier League is expected to start on March 25. However, there is no official announcement yet from the IPL board. If it does start on the said date, the whole tournament will run until May 28, 2023.

Men’s and Women’s World Boxing Championships

The IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships is scheduled to be held in New Delhi India from March 15 to 31, 2023.

The last time the event was also hosted in India was in 2018 and it was undoubtedly a huge success. The previous edition held in the country showcased over 200b boxers from 62 countries like China, India, Ireland, Germany, and South Korea.

For the upcoming 2023 edition, there will be 12 weight categories in total: 48 kg, 50 kg, 52 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 66 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 81 kg, and +81 kg.

The IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships started in 2001. Russia holds the most Gold medalists (24) followed by China (18), Turkey (11), India (10), and the United States (8).

After the women’s edition is the Men’s World Boxing Championship scheduled to run from May 1 to 14, 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The event will showcase 13 weight classes: 46–48 kg (Minimumweight), 48–51 kg (Flyweight), 51–54 kg (Bantamweight), 54–57 kg (Featherweight), 57–60 kg (Lightweight), 60–63.5 kg (Light welterweight), 63.5–67 kg (Welterweight), 67–71 kg (Light middleweight), 71–75 kg (Middleweight), 75–80 kg (Light heavyweight), 80–86 kg, (Cruiserweight), 86–92 kg (Heavyweight), and +92 kg (Super heavyweight).

The French Open

This year’s French Open is also known as the Roland Garros which will start on May 28. 2023 at the Roland Garros Stadium in Paris. The final day of the event is then scheduled on June 11, 2023.

The last edition was held from May 22 to June 5 last year with Rafael Nadal (Spain) as the Men’s singles champion and Iga Swiatek (Poland) as the women’s singles champion.

UEFA Champions League Final

The UEFA Champions League Final is set on June 10, 2023, at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium. This will be the final match of the 2022-23 UEFA Champion’s League which is the 68th edition of the tournament.

Originally, the final was to be played at Wembley Stadium in London. However, the whole event has been postponed and relocated in 2020 because of the pandemic.

Munich was also considered to host the final at some point, but Turkey was eventually given the hosting privilege instead. Munich is then set to host the final in 2025.
