Umesh Katti Dies Of Cardiac Arrest at 61, Huge Loss For Karnataka, Schools and Colleges To Remain Closed

Umesh Katti, a minister for Karnataka, died after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest; a holiday was proclaimed for Bagewadi Belagavi universities, colleges, and schools. Umesh Katti, a BJP politician and member for Karnataka, died unexpectedly on Tuesday night after suffering a heart arrest, according to the media outlet ANI. The Minister of Forests, Food, and Civil Supplies has been Umesh Katti.

Umesh Katti, who envisioned north Karnataka becoming a state, collapsed at his Dollars Colony home and was taken to Ramaiah hospital near Bengaluru. He, however, was hopeless.

Umesh Katti’s passing was lamented by Party Chief Basavaraj Bommai, who described it as a “tremendous loss for the province.” He claimed that Umesh Katti’s passing has left a big void that will be challenging to fill.

Umesh Katti has contributed much to the state. He managed several portfolios well. For the government, it’s a significant loss, said Bommai to the news agency ANI.

At Bagewadi Belagavi, Umesh Katti’s final rites will be done with the due ceremony. A break has been proclaimed for Belagavi’s various educational institutions, according to CM Bommai.

Katti was 61 at the time of his demise. According to sources quoted by news agency PTI, Katti passed out in the lavatory of his Dollar’s Colony home here and was taken immediately to a health center. When Katti was transported to the hospital, the physicians reported that there was no heartbeat, according to State Revenue Minister R Ashoka. He characterised Katti’s passing as a significant loss for the BJP as well as the Belagavi district.

Katti was an eight-time Lawmaker from the Hukkeri parliamentary constituency and was raised in Belladbagewadi in the Hukkeri taluk of the Belagavi district. After the death of his father, Vishwanath Katti, in 1985, he entered the race of politics.
