Union Government going to stop 25 percent water supply in Delhi in March-April- Raghav Chadha

In this summer, Delhiites may face water shortages in the month of March-April. This information has been given by Raghav Chadha, Deputy Chairman of Delhi Jal Board and MLA of Aam Aadmi Party. He told the press conference that the central government is going to stop the 25 percent water supply in Delhi in the month of March-April.

He said in the press conference that Delhi is a landlocked region. It has no water body of its own. Delhi has to depend on four sources for water supply. Yamuna river water which comes mainly from Haryana. The second is the water of the river Ganga which mainly comes from Uttar Pradesh. The third Ravi Vyas river water which comes from Nangal. And the fourth source is ground water.

The central government will stop 25 percent water supply

Consumption of water increases during the summer season. For which we try to increase water, but this time the problem may increase for them. Because 25 percent of the water of Beas river which supplies water in Delhi, the central government is going to stop it from coming to Delhi.

Complete closure of Nangal Hydel Channel

Raghav Chadha said that due to any construction work, the complete closure of the Nangal Hydel Channel is going to be done by the Central Government. 25 percent water spillage will be stopped in Delhi. In such a situation, the people of Delhi may have to face water shortage in the summer season.
