It has taken over the internet after experiencing a lot of confusion regarding its origin, the metro authority has now officially cleared that it was a part of the commercial. As per the press release from the chief executive officer (CEO), of Noida Authority, this small skit is a part of an ad that was made last year after the approval of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) policy.

“This is to clarify that video going viral on various social media platforms is part of a commercial advertising shoot held in 22.12.2022 under the approved NMRC Policy for Film Shooting,” the statement read.

“NMRC has approved a Film Shooting Policy where it provides its infrastructure including Rolling Stock on a rental basis to earn Non-Fare Box Revenue. “The Ad Film Shooting was carried out by M/s Creative Productions (A Delhi Based Film Production House) for “boat Air dopes” on NMRC Corridor,” it added. ‘BoAT’ has also shared a two-minute advert on Instagram which has garnered over 1 lakh views till now.

In the meantime, the internet has been divided into two sides, one that thinks the public should be informed about the act while the other thinks such tactics shouldn’t use public transportation to shoot. One user commented- “Is it ok to harass\scare people in the name of advertisement? To make money, will they allow the company to make fun of ordinary people?”

Another tweeted on Twitter- “With all due respect approval from NMRC and not from the commuters. Please avoid this kind of unruly behavior in the name of advertisement,”

Priya Gupta is the real girl behind Manjulika’s performance, who also commented on the latest controversy. She stated-  “Thanks mam for the clarification.” I am playing Manjulika and I am an actress. It was a part of the shoot. Regards!
