Manifesto of Trinamool Congress

Explain that Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday released a ‘development-oriented manifesto for the West Bengal assembly elections. The Chief Minister has promised to set up a Task Force to include an income scheme for all families, credit cards to students, and several communities in OBCs. Claiming to reduce poverty by 40 percent during the Trinamool Congress rule in the state, the manifesto also promised to increase annual financial support to farmers from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000.

Mamta said, “For the first time, every family in Bengal will get minimum income. Under this, 16 million general category families will get Rs 500 per month, while families falling in SC / ST category will get Rs 1,000 per month. This amount will be sent directly to the bank account of the female head of the family. The Chief Minister said that a new card scheme will be brought for students with a credit limit of 10 lakh and only four percent interest will have to be paid on it.

He said, in the next five years we will set up 10 lakh MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) units and 2000 new large industrial units. The Trinamool Congress chief said, “To constitute OBC (Other Backward Classes) status to all castes like Mahishya, Tili, Tamul and Saha, who are not recognized as OBCs. We would recommend to the Government of India to give (ST) Scheduled Tribe status to Mahato (caste), he said that a special development board would be set up for the development of Terai and Duar region in North Bengal.

Issuing the manifesto, Mamta said, “We have reduced poverty in Bengal by 40 percent.” He said that in Bengal we will ensure a minimum annual income of Rs 6,000 for general category and Rs 12,000 for backward communities. At the same time, we will provide a credit card with a spending limit of Rs 10 lakh to students pursuing higher education, only four percent interest will have to be paid. We will increase the annual financial assistance for farmers from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000.
