On November 19, 2022, people around the world will mark World Toilet Day to raise awareness of the significance of cleanliness in preventing disease and fostering healthy lifestyles. Around the world, at least a billion people in the world consume water that has been tainted with feces, according to the UN. World Toilet Day was started in 2001 by the World Toilet Organization and was recognized as a UN holiday in 2013. In July 2013, the resolution (A/RES/67/291) establishing World Toilet Day with the theme “Sanitation for All” was passed. It calls for ending the destructive practice of open-air defecation and promotes expanding access to sanitation for the underprivileged.
