Kalyani Steel Limited Signs MoU with Odisha Government for Manufacturing Complex

Bhubaneswar, Feb 24 (IANS) – Kalyani Steel Limited has signed an MoU with the Odisha government for the establishment of a Titanium Metal and Aerospace Components Manufacturing complex, and an Integrated Advanced Specialty Steel and Automotive Components Manufacturing Complex in Odisha. The multinational conglomerate will set up the manufacturing complex at Gajamara in Dhenkanal district of the state.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that the project aligns with the state’s vision for high-skill job creation in emerging sectors. With an investment of Rs 11,751 crore, the venture is expected to provide over 10,000 job opportunities in advanced manufacturing trades.

Patnaik emphasized that the project will catalyze the growth of MSMEs and ancillary industries, creating a vibrant ecosystem for employment. He also highlighted the importance of skill development, acknowledging Kalyani Steel’s commitment to enhancing workforce capabilities in sectors like metal downstream, automotive, and defence manufacturing.

Amit Kalyani, Director of Kalyani Steels Limited, outlined the significance of the project as a milestone in the company’s relationship with Odisha. He emphasized the mutual benefits of the partnership in promoting development, innovation, and high-skill employment opportunities in the state.

Minister of Industries Pratap Keshari Dev, Chairman of 5T and Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha, VK Pandian, and other senior officers were present at the signing of the MoU, marking a significant step towards transforming Odisha’s industrial landscape.
