PM Modi to inaugurate Bharat Tex 2024, one of largest-ever global textile events in country

New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Bharat Tex – 2024, one of the largest-ever global textile events in the country, at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam on Monday. The event, organized from February 26-29, aims to showcase India’s vibrant textile heritage and innovation in the industry.

Bharat Tex 2024 draws inspiration from the Prime Minister’s 5F Vision with a focus on the entire textiles value chain, promoting trade, investment, and exports in the sector. This event is organized by 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils and backed by the government, emphasizing sustainability and growth in the textile industry.

The four-day event will feature over 65 knowledge sessions with global panelists, dedicated pavilions on sustainability and circularity, ‘Indi Haat’, fashion presentations, interactive fabric testing zones, and product demonstrations. It is expected to attract policymakers, global CEOs, exhibitors, buyers, and business visitors from over 100 countries.

Bharat Tex 2024 is anticipated to witness the signing of more than 50 announcements and MoUs, aiming to boost investment, trade, and exports in the textile sector. This event aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat, focusing on self-reliance and development in India’s textile industry.
