Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed the names of four astronauts chosen for India’s Gaganyaan mission during his visit to ISRO’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Station. The astronauts are undergoing intense training for the historic space mission set for 2025.

The selected astronauts for Gaganyaan mission are Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap, and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla. Prime Minister Modi expressed his happiness and stated that they will bring new glory to the nation’s space exploration programs.

Gaganyaan marks India’s first human space mission, showcasing ISRO’s commitment to space exploration. The project adds to India’s successful space programs, with the recent achievement of Chandrayaan’s successful landing on the Moon’s South Pole last year.

Looking ahead, ISRO aims to establish its own ‘Bharatiya Antariksha Station’ by 2035 and has a timeline to send the first Indian to the Moon by 2040. The agency remains focused on pushing boundaries in space technology and exploration for the country’s future advancements.
