PM Modi marks International Women’s Day by slashing LPG cylinder prices by Rs 100

New Delhi, March 8 (IANS) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a reduction of Rs 100 in the prices of LPG cylinders on Women’s Day. This decision aims to ease the financial burden on households and support women across the country.

PM Modi stated, “Today, on Women’s Day, our Government has decided to reduce LPG cylinder prices by Rs. 100. This will significantly ease the financial burden on millions of households across the country, especially benefiting our Nari Shakti.”

The move is part of PM Modi’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring ‘Ease of Living’ for them. This decision aligns with his consistent leadership and policy approach towards women-led development since he took office in 2014.

During his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, PM Modi established the ‘Nari Gaurav Niti’ to address women’s welfare issues. This policy aimed at creating awareness and actively involving women in all administrative departments to meet their socio-economic, educational, and developmental needs.

In 2006, the Gujarat government formally introduced the ‘Nari Gaurav Niti’ policy to promote gender equality and sensitize government departments to the importance of women’s welfare. As India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi continues to prioritize the empowerment of women and women-led development, reflecting his leadership philosophy.
