Welcomhotel Expands into the Northeast with Welcomhotel Gangtok

New Delhi, March 14 (IANS) ITC Hotels has announced its entry into the Northeast region by signing Welcomhotel Gangtok. The 60-key property will offer stunning views of Mount Kangchenjunga from every room and is expected to open in early 2025.

Welcomhotel Gangtok will feature two dining outlets, including ‘Mayal’ serving popular Sikkimese delicacies. The hotel is strategically located near Gangtok’s popular tourist spots and is set to become a hub for travellers exploring the Northeast.

Gangtok, known for its natural beauty and tourist attractions, is the perfect gateway to the Northeast. The area offers a range of activities from exploring waterfalls to visiting monasteries, making it a popular destination for domestic and international tourists.

Anil Chadha, Chief Executive of ITC Hotels, expressed excitement about bringing the Welcomhotel brand to Sikkim, highlighting the region’s rich biodiversity.
