BJP’s Hitesh Jain predicts India will have 10-15 lakh startups and 500 unicorns by 2029.

New Delhi, March 19 (IANS) Startups are the ambassadors of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and by 2029, the country will have at least 10-15 lakh startups and about 500 unicorns, thus creating thousands of jobs for the youth, BJP Mumbai Pradesh Vice President Hitesh Jain said here on Tuesday.

Jain highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India to become a developed nation by 2047, with startups playing a key role in driving the economy. He noted the substantial growth in startups from 2014 to now, with over 1.25 lakh startups in the country and an expected 10-15 lakh in the next five years.

The ‘Viksit Bharat Startup Mahakumbh 2024’ event aims to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors who believe in the idea of a developed India. The government’s supportive startup policy and friendly laws are creating an environment for young entrepreneurs to thrive and do business with ease.

Organized at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, the event from March 18-20 is set to facilitate networking, foster growth opportunities, and catalyze innovation for startups, investors, and industry leaders. With over 1,000 startups, 1,000 investors, 5,000 future entrepreneurs, and 40,000 business visitors participating, the ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ is buzzing with creativity and potential.

Participants at the ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ expressed their appreciation for the awareness it raises among entrepreneurs about the startup ecosystem, helping to expand industry networks. They acknowledge the Modi government’s efforts in promoting and nurturing the growing startup ecosystem in India.

As India gears up to achieve its startup goals and foster innovation, events like the ‘Viksit Bharat Startup Mahakumbh 2024’ serve as platforms for collaboration, growth, and inspiration in the startup landscape.
