Chennai Super Kings clashed against Gujarat Titans in Match 7 of IPL 2024 with Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. Chennai, the defending champions, have won four out of their five recent matches, while Gujarat Titans have won three out of their last five matches.

In a rematch of last year’s final, Chennai Super Kings started their title defense with a win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans, who won the title in 2022, began their 2024 campaign with a victory over Mumbai Indians.

The playing XIs for the match saw Gujarat Titans remaining unchanged from their previous match against Mumbai Indians, while Chennai Super Kings made a change by bringing in Matheesha Pathirana for Maheesh Theekshana. Both captains expressed their intention to bowl first, with Shubman Gill acknowledging the physically and mentally exhausting nature of their previous match and Ruturaj Gaikwad expressing satisfaction with the team’s performance in the tournament opener.

The playing XIs for the match included key players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni, Rashid Khan, and David Miller. With both teams eager to continue their winning momentum, the clash between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans promised to be an exciting battle in the IPL 2024 season.
