Accel Announces 8 Early-Stage Startups in Atoms Programme
Bengaluru, March 28 (IANS) – Accel, a leading venture capital firm, unveiled the third cohort of its accelerator programme ‘Atoms’, featuring eight early-stage startups in India. The startups will receive funding up to $500,000 and access to perks worth over $5 million.
The previous Atoms cohorts, totaling 24 startups, have collectively raised over $200 million in funding since the programme’s launch. According to Prayank Swaroop, Partner at Accel, the new batch of startups demonstrates potential in AI and Industry 5.0, with significant growth seen since joining the programme.
Among the startups in Atoms 3.0, four focus on AI solutions, including Tune AI, Skoob, Meritic, and Arivihan, while two are involved in Industry 5.0 projects – Spintly and Asets. The remaining two startups are currently in stealth mode.
Barath Shankar Subramanian, Partner at Accel, highlighted the 6-month journey of Atoms 3.0, providing founders with crucial insights into areas like hiring, customer acquisition, and investor pitching. The programme includes personalized mentorship and guidance from industry leaders.
Accel has a track record of backing successful Indian startups like Flipkart, Freshworks, Swiggy, Urban Company, Zetwerk, and Cure.fit. The Atoms accelerator programme aims to support the next generation of disruptors in the tech and innovation space.
