Eetretail announces expansion plans and new leadership role

EET Retail, the retail division of EET Fuels, has appointed Narayan Bhatra as its Chief Executive Officer. With over three decades of experience in the energy sector, including management roles with companies like Essar and Reliance Industries, Bhatra is set to lead the development of a significant portfolio of Essar-branded fuel retail outlets across the UK.

EET Retail aims to become the UK’s “retailer of choice to consumers” by expanding its network of outlets and potentially acquiring new opportunities for growth. The company’s long-term strategy includes offering a range of low-carbon, high-quality fuels to cater to the needs of drivers, particularly those preferring e-mobility.

Narayan Bhatra expressed his excitement about joining EET Retail and praised the company’s vision for growth and innovation in the retail sector. Deepak Maheshwari, CEO of EETFuels, expressed confidence in Bhatra’s leadership and highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering best-in-class fuel outlets.

EET Fuels, as part of EET, is dedicated to playing a key role in the decarbonisation of the UK economy. The company plans to build an energy transition park at its site in the North West and become the UK’s first low-carbon process refinery in alignment with the UK Government’s Ten Point Plan on the Green Industrial Revolution and British Energy Security Strategy. Tony Fountain, Managing Director of EET, emphasized the company’s commitment to decarbonisation and energy security.
