The eclipse, visible across 15 states in the US, as well as Mexico and Canada, began at 9.13 PM IST on Monday and lasted until 2.22 AM IST on Tuesday.

During a total solar eclipse, the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, casting a shadow on our planet. This alignment results in the Moon appearing almost the same size as the Sun, obscuring the Sun’s visible disk entirely. The unique spectacle captivates audiences worldwide with its natural wonder.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, also joined the conversation by sharing a video titled “View of the eclipse from orbit.” Additionally, NASA launched three sounding rockets before, during, and after the eclipse to study the changes in the ionosphere, the upper layer of the atmosphere crucial for long-distance radio communication, triggered by the sudden darkness during the eclipse.
