Nikhil Kamath of Zerodha introduces non-dilutive grant fund for aspiring entrepreneurs

New Delhi, April 15 (IANS) – Nikhil Kamath, the co-founder of Zerodha, recently launched a non-dilutive grant agnostic fund called ‘WTFund’ aimed at nurturing young entrepreneurs aged 25 and under. The fund is dedicated to supporting individuals with innovative ideas and visions that have the potential to revolutionize their industries.

Kamath explained, “Today, young founders tend to create the most impact within entrepreneurship. At WTFund, our goal is to cultivate a culture that encourages young entrepreneurs to embrace risk by providing a comprehensive support system.”

The fund offers a non-dilutive grant of Rs 20 lakh, allowing founders to retain full equity in their ventures. In addition, recipients will have access to operator-first mentorship pods and a supportive community within the WTFund ecosystem.

Forty young entrepreneurs will be chosen for funding and mentorship over a year. They will undergo a thorough screening process and receive guidance until they secure their first institutional funding. The fund is open to investments in all sectors, providing a growth platform for emerging founders, creators, and dreamers.

The initiative aims to offer financial support and a platform for young individuals to engage with a community of like-minded entrepreneurs. The WTFund seeks to empower young entrepreneurs to take risks and pursue their visions for innovative solutions in various industries.
