Unmasked Force Gurkha 5-door spotted, interior revealed in spy shot

Force Motors is gearing up to launch the Gurkha five-door variant in India, set to go on sale by mid-2024, bringing more practicality to the off-roader with a usable second row and bigger boot. This new variant will directly compete with rivals like Mahindra Thar’s upcoming five-door version scheduled for release on August 15 this year.

The recently emerged online video showcases the heavily camouflaged Force Gurkha five-door model in the wild, revealing some design details. The new model retains its signature boxy and Mercedes-Benz G-Class-inspired visual appearance with unique alloy wheels and smaller rear windows compared to the three-door version. The rear sports similar design elements with a centrally-placed spare wheel.

The interior of the Force Gurkha five-door model has also been revealed in the video, featuring a 2+3+2 seating layout for a total of seven occupants. The cabin boasts a large touchscreen infotainment system and a spacious design for a comfortable ride. The SUV retains signature styling elements from the three-door Gurkha, including squarish wheel arches and front seat centre armrest.

Under the hood, the Force Gurkha five-door variant is likely to retain the 2.6-litre diesel engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz, producing 89 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Paired with a five-speed manual gearbox and a 4X4 drivetrain, the new model promises off-road capability. Stay tuned for more updates on the launch of the Gurkha five-door variant in the coming months.
