Yolohealth Awareness Campaign Gains Momentum with Two-Day Camp at Birla Mandir to Raise Citizen Awareness

New Delhi, April 15 (IANS) A large number of diseases are inflicting havoc on our citizens and a bigger worry is that many of them eschew preventive solutions. Hypertension and diabetes have emerged as the two biggest health concerns due to nonchalant attitude towards food consumption and lack of information, leading to belief that these ailments strike only after 45 or 50.

To sensitise people about the critical need for preemptive testing, Illness to Wellness and Yolohealth organised a two-day camp at Birla Mandir on April 13 and April 14, 2024. The camp aimed to disseminate information about the need to get checked for potential health risks among individuals who may be unaware of underlying health conditions.

During the camp, over 20 percent of the people were found to be hypertensive, obese and pre-diabetic, highlighting the impact of sedentary behavior and unhealthy eating habits on citizens. Anil Rajput, Chairperson, ASSOCHAM National CSR Council, emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis for prevention and better management of diseases like hypertension and diabetes.

Yolohealth used its HealthATM product to demonstrate how technology has evolved in delivering accurate health assessment reports. These machines offer primary and preventive healthcare services with the goal of ensuring easy public access, enabling individuals to take proactive steps towards their health.

The ‘Illness to Wellness’ campaign introduced in 2014 remains committed to promoting health and well-being through empowering, educating, collaborating, and adopting sustainable health practices. From organising camps and awareness campaigns to holding regular webinars on key health topics, the campaign aims to raise awareness and provide motivation for healthy living.
