In the presence of PM Modi, the name of the candidates of West Bengal was stamped at the Central Election Committee meeting on Wednesday at the BJP headquarters. The names of the candidates of the last four stages have been finalized by the party. Prior to this, the party has already decided the names of the candidates of the four phases.

Elections are being held in a total of eight phases in Bengal, the list of candidates can be announced by Thursday and Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Babul Supriyo, West Bengal State President Dilip Ghosh, National Vice President Mukul Roy, Organization A meeting of the Central Election Committee was held in the presence of prominent leaders like General Secretary BL Santosh from 8.30 pm. In which the names of the candidates of the last four stages were considered. The meeting lasted till 11:45 in the night.

The leaders of West Bengal, who attended the meeting of the Central Election Committee, told the media that the names of the candidates of the remaining stages have been decided. The list will be released in the next day or two. Earlier, the names of potential candidates were also discussed in the meeting of the Bengal Core Committee at the home of National Chairman JP Nadda.

In the first phase, votes will be cast on 30 March out of 294 seats in West Bengal on 27 March. At the same time, in the second phase on 30 seats on April 1, in the third phase 31 seats on April 6, in the fourth phase 44 seats on April 10, in the fifth phase 45 seats on April 17, in the sixth phase, 43 seats on April 22. On, votes will be cast on 36 seats in the seventh phase on 26 April and on 35 April in the eighth phase on 29 April. The results will be announced on May 2.
