BMW Vision Neue Klasse X SUV Teased Ahead of Global Debut on March 21
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept previews a new design direction for the upcoming electric SUV from BMW, set to debut on March 21, 2024. The teaser showcases a silhouette similar to the iX model.
Expected to launch in the second half of 2025, the Neue Klasse EV platform will introduce six new cars. The lineup includes a five-seater SUV with around 600 bhp, replacing the current iX3, and a BMW i3 saloon based on the Neue Klasse concept.
The Vision Neue Klasse X will compete with the Porsche Macan EV and Audi Q6 e-tron. Production will commence at BMW’s Debrecen facility in Hungary from 2025, expanding to facilities in Munich, Germany, and San Luis Potosi, Mexico, by 2026 and 2027.
The Neue Klasse platform will feature a sixth-generation lithium-ion battery with liquid cooling, providing 30% faster charging times. The 800-volt electric architecture and new generation electric motors will power the upcoming models, enhancing performance and efficiency.
More information on the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept will be revealed later this week, promising a significant leap in BMW’s electric vehicle lineup.
