In Pics: Cillian Murphy as Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Rumours are circulating that there will be a new hero movie coming out – A MCU project featuring Doctor Doom. This could be a movie or another Disney+ series. Howard Stern recently revealed this new project on his talk show. The moment was unintentional as he didn’t know his mic was on when he said it out loud. Plus we did get to see Reed Richards’s portrayal in Doctor Strange 2 so it obviously means Fantastic Four is next in the line. 

Additionally MCU’s next releases i.e Phase 5 and 6 Multiverse Saga were also announced at San Diego Comic-Con. This confirms that the next movie would be Fantastic Four, the first in a line of Phase 6 arriving in 2024. 

Now the question arises is who is going to portray the villain in the movie? Doctor Doom is considered the best villain in MCU history so it would need someone that knows how to make it on screen. He will also play a significant role in Secret War comics too. Recently a stunning piece of work came into the light, Cillian Murphy as Doctor Doom.

What makes Cillian Murphy a perfect choice for Doctor Doom?

As many of you might remember he did have experience in playing supervillains in the past. He played the role of Dr. Jonathan Crane, A.K.A. the Scarecrow, in the Dark Knight trilogy for DC. 

An artist on Instagram bobby_art posted a picture of Cillian Murphy as Doctor Doom, Marvel’s tyrannical King of Latveria. You can see Cillian wearing Doctor Doom’s signature green cloak and armor and a mask that covers his scarred face. 

Stan lee always stated Doctor Doom as his favorite Marvel character. That itself clears how significant the character is in MCU. Given his performances on screen in Peaky Blinders, Cillian would be undoubtly an excellent choice for the role.
