According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday, after the arrival of 2,17,353 new cases in the last 24 hours in India, the total number of positive cases has increased to 1,42,91,917. At the same time, after 1,185 new deaths, the total number of deaths has increased to 1,74,308.

The total number of active cases in the country is 15,69,743 and the total number of discharged cases is 1,25,47,866.

Earlier, according to the Health Ministry data released on Thursday, 2,00,739 new cases of Covid were reported in India in 24 hours, while more than one thousand people lost their lives.

The Delhi government on Thursday has ordered a weekend curfew in the city by April 30, barring essential activities or services. The curfew will remain in force from 10 am on Friday from 16 April to 5 am on Monday.
