Delhi-Meerut RRTS: Noida-Ghaziabad connectivity to be set up before high-speed train’s March opening

Noida is expected to witness a new development. India’s first urban train will be open to the public in March 2023. It will be made over a 17 km stretch. All the construction work is underway and recently a trial run was made by RRTS. During this, the speed of the train touched 160 kmph.

The train will run from the Sahibabad-Duhai section and will consist of 5 stations- Guldhar, Sahibabad, Duhai Depot, Duhai and Ghaziabad. These Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) stations are all set to open for operations and are in their final touch. In Ghaziabad, it will have 3 stations including- Guldhar, Sahibabad and Ghaziabad city. The station will also be connected with Noida as well as other areas. 114 feeder buses will also be available on 17 feeder routes with a capacity of 100,000 people. All the transport will be running on CNG with BS-VI compliance. The buses will consist of 20-22 seats along with covering 10-12 km around the stations. The regional transport authority (RTA) and the Uttar Pradesh government both have approved the plan. Routes will be available for the public before their deadline with high-speed trains becoming operational on the routes. 

As per the RTA proposal, buses will run on the four routes from Ghaziabad city RRTS station, nine routes from the Sahibabad RRTS station and four more from Guldhar RRTS station. Besides that, from Noida, will help by connecting other areas such as Govindpuram, UP and Loni

As per the reports, Sahibabad will feature 56 feeder buses and Ghaziabad will provide 28 and Guldhar with 30. In the future, more routes will be added to provide better connectivity. Authorities are also planning to provide bicycle providers, taxi operator and auto.
